Dear Parents and Students,

As we all know that COVID-19 has become a worldwide public health crisis and it will likely take months (if not years) to resolveBeing part of the community, we all have a role to play to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission. At Aussin Tutoring, the health and well-being of our students have always been our top priority. We realize that our students are facing a time of immense vulnerability while our tutors are facing challenges to continue delivering quality tutoring sessions in an even higher standard.

In the coming months, this crisis is likely to impact the way how you engage with your tutors.

Guided by instructions from the state and federal government, we encourage all students (both existing and new) to switch to online classes. If requested by parents under special circumstances, some in-person classes might be allowed to continue with the conditions to be checked and reviewed on a regular basis.

Many students have already moved to online classes and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Our tutoring sessions are delivered to students in a high standard through utilizing professional videoconferencing tools which comes at no added cost to our students. Students will be able to join a class and interact with the tutor from any device at home. Your tutor will teach as usual, but over video including sharing content via their computer screen. They may adapt the class to fit a virtual environment. Students can participate and ask questions in the virtual classroom.

You can help set up a “friendly virtual classroom” environment at your home. If possible, find a space with good lighting and make yourself feel comfortable to sit in relatively quiet surroundings. This is important as we want to minimize noise distraction from other parts of your house, and also to allow tutors to hear you clearly when you are participating in class discussion.
